Where Croissantcat appears
- The official profile describes the look and the founding-cat role. Our Croissantcat lore page quotes it with credit.
- Comic No. 1, A Flaky Day Out: a seaside trip where the seagulls mistake Croissantcat for a snack and a disguise nearly ends in a sale. Muffincat appears at the end with a sympathetic "Rough day?". It's the first of the 11 free comics.
- The Cat Diary: a single day from 6am to 6pm in which Croissantcat opens up the dark bakery, greets Pretzelcat, Bagelcat and Pancakecat, answers a question from Browniecat about the early days, and counts every cat in the bakery at dusk. Our Meet Croissantcat article walks through it hour by hour.
What makes Croissantcat the lead cat
The other Bakery Cats each have a job or a quirk: Pretzelcat is the bendiest, Browniecat is the night owl and Pizzacat is the only savoury one. Croissantcat's role is simply being first. The diary puts it plainly: "Being the founding cat is not about being in charge... It is about being there." That's why Croissantcat leads this hub. It's the cat you meet first, and every other cat makes more sense once you know where the bakery began: "Small. Warm. Just one cat and a good idea."

Questions fans ask
Is Croissantcat a cat that eats croissants?
No. The body is the croissant. Every Bakery Cat works the same way: each is made out of a bake or a treat.
Can I buy anything with Croissantcat on it?
Not at the moment. The free comic is the easiest way to share Croissantcat. The rest of the bakery, including 17 cat tees, is in the official shop, and our gift guide lists every Christmas item with its price.
Who draws Croissantcat?
All characters and artwork are original to Bakery Cats Co. The official site states that the art is made with help from AI tools, and we repeat that note on every page here.
