Bakery Cats Comics in Order: All 11 Free Printable Comics
Bakery Cats Co publishes 11 free comics on its official site. Each is a single A4 page of 12 panels for kids, with a printable PDF. They're numbered, and the official numbering is the best reading order: No. 1 introduces Croissantcat, the founding cat, and sets up the running joke of the whole series, which is that being made of food is a hazard. After that every comic stands alone, so you can also dip in by season.

Before you start: three running jokes
- "Morning, readers!" 11 of the 11 comics open by talking straight to the reader. Browniecat, the night owl, says "Evening, readers!" instead.
- "I'm not a snack!" Seagulls, customers, judges and cows all mistake a Bakery Cat for something to eat.
- Very British days out: drizzle, the village fete, cheese-rolling, the Pancake Day race and, in No. 1, a queue.
The reading order
1. A Flaky Day Out
Starring Croissantcat · Setting: a trip to the seaside. Also appearing: Muffincat.
A seaside stroll goes flaky fast: the seagulls decide Croissantcat is a snack, a 'perfect disguise' as an ordinary croissant nearly gets the founding cat sold over the counter, and by the end there is, of course, a queue. "Well, it IS Britain!"
2. Knot a Problem
Starring Pretzelcat · Setting: a first yoga class. Also appearing: Bagelcat.
Pretzelcat's first yoga class: the double knot works a little too well, a sneeze sends Pretzelcat rolling downhill, and Bagelcat offers a paw to untangle. "Yes please! Just mind the salt."
3. The Waffle Spa
Starring Wafflecat · Setting: a drizzly afternoon in the garden. Also appearing: Pancakecat.
A drizzly garden afternoon fills every waffle pocket with puddles, the birds move in, and Wafflecat opens a spa. Five-star reviews, every one a tweet.
4. Best in Show
Starring Piecat · Setting: the village fete.
At the village fete Piecat sits somewhere warm, which turns out to be the pie table. After a yowl, a crash and a PARP, Piecat wins Best in Show, in the pet show. "Well, I DID have the best crust!"
5. The Great Bagel Roll
Starring Bagelcat · Setting: the village cheese-rolling.
A calm day watching the village cheese-rolling, until a bump sends Bagelcat rolling instead. The prize is the cheese, though Bagelcat would have preferred cream cheese.
6. Flipping Brilliant
Starring Pancakecat · Setting: the Pancake Day race.
Pancake Day race: Pancakecat goes for it, gets tossed instead of running, and wins for the best-tossed pancake. "Next year, I'm bringing my own pan!"
7. Cookies and Milk
Starring Cookiecat · Setting: a day out at the farm.
A day out at the farm ends with a skid into the milk. Soggy, then warm and crunchy again by the stove. "Best enjoyed with milk... just not IN it!"
8. The Beast in the Woods
Starring Browniecat · Setting: a camping trip after dark.
Night owl Browniecat goes camping, joins a spooky story about the Beast with glowing eyes, and gives everyone a fright in the dark. The children's fix, a light so everyone can see Browniecat, works almost too well.
9. The Blueberry Ballet
Starring Muffincat · Setting: a dance class and the end-of-term show.
At dance class Muffincat's paper case is mistaken for a tutu, a plié sends blueberries flying, and the end-of-term show gets an encore of blueberries.
10. The Sticky Leaf Pile
Starring Cinnacat · Setting: the biggest autumn leaf pile ever.
The biggest leaf pile ever, plus sticky icing, equals one leaf-covered Cinnacat who gets raked up by the park keeper and has the cosiest day ever.
11. Frozen Pizza
Starring Pizzacat · Setting: the hottest day of the year.
The hottest day of the year: Pizzacat's cheese stretches, the ice-cream seller has nothing savoury, and a jumbo ice lolly turns hot pizza into frozen pizza.
