Imagine if... the Bakery Cats Went Big

Imagine if the cats of Bakery Cats Co glowed in neon, had their own sports car, and drew queues round the block. This is our gallery of gloriously over-the-top daydreams: fan art made by the hub team, every piece pure imagination.

And at the front of every queue? Croissantcat, the founding cat, the one that started it all.

Who leads the parade: Croissantcat

Croissantcat is the first Bakery Cat, made of a flaky golden croissant, and the star of the first free comic, A Flaky Day Out. Its outlook, in the words of the official Cat Diary: "Being the founding cat is not about being in charge... It is about being there." For the official artwork, see our Croissantcat hub and Meet the cats.

The Big Glowing Sign

Imagine if the bakery's cats were so bright they glowed. A giant neon sign, a big round cat, a little cat tucked beside it, and FRESHLY BAKED buzzing in pink.

Croissantcat says being the founding cat is about being there, not being in charge. A sign this bright would make sure everyone knew where the bakery was. Meet Croissantcat.

The Fastest Delivery in Town

Imagine if a cat-covered sports car parked under that sign. Purely imaginary, of course: the real bakery cats are made of bakes, not engines.

Browniecat is the night owl of the bakery, so it would be the one cruising under the neon after dark. Meet Browniecat.

The Queue Goes Round the Block

Imagine if a giant fluffy cat costume waved at a crowd of cheering fans. There's no costume and no meet-and-greet: just a daydream about how a queue for the cats might look.

Queues are a running joke in the very first comic: in A Flaky Day Out a queue forms in front of Croissantcat. Very British. Read the comics in order.
